SUFFERERS AND SINNERS

Metro living,
A proletariat lifestyle,
High expectations,
Higher needs
And highest pay,
Is all they thrive for!

Money,
Followed by lust,
Followed by wrongdoing,
Followed by deception,
And an art,
Art of cheating.

Truths,
And lies,
Are intertwined,
Interconnected,
In relationship,
With each other.

Loyalty,
And trust,
Isn’t the true side,
Its just a wrong Perception.
Facades are colorful,
But not blissful.

Beds are,
Always prosperous,
With beauty,
That changes,
And rains,
Almost always plain.

Dramatics,
Is just the way of life.
Plastic smiles,
And fake expressions,
Dark is the limit,
Light doesn’t percolate.

Weak at heart,
Both,
Literally and,
Metaphorically,
Death resonates,
Due to same.

Metaphoric veils,
Get naked,
Only then,
And then,
Heard are,
The squeals.

Emancipation,
And redemption,
Climb their summit,
And then they realize,
That,
Love was the limit.

PS- This is the poem based on the movie- ‘A life in a metro’ and it is very realistic and true according to the scenario of a metropolitan city.

DOWNRIGHT IN THE FEET.

DOWNRIGHT IN THE FEET.

Devotion speaks through prejudice,

belief speaks through stereotype,

judgement speaks through politics,

and suffering grieves in servile.

Respect goes up,

with bowing down,

regard goes down,

with increment.

Poverty speaks the languid language,

Eliteness is elated with embellishment,

and the falling contrast,

comes face to face.

The two facades,

mirror the dream and reality,

the prayer to the same,

hitting the game.

Reality hits the floor,

dreams remain barefoot,

The thump of it,

kicks downright in the feet.

MOTHER AND CHILD

MOTHER AND CHILD

Bearing the weight of embryo,
For months.

Embracing the tiny creature,
With heartful grace.

Milching the part of her,
With all the purity of love.

With every bone and muscle taking shape,
With teeth slowly growing,
And every small attempt at taking a step,
She’s the most impressed.

With that smiling face,
She encounters all hardships,
To make her toddler smile.

Without expectation,
She cares and loves.

From a toddler to a child,
She watches him grow.

Now the school time,
And he has to go.

Becoming his home tutor,
Teaching him beyond what has been taught,
Because charity begins at home.

Becoming a cook,
She prepares his favorite dishes,
Her ingredient, fathomless love.

She makes him,
What he is,
Born out of her, carved by the same.

Instilling the maturity and wisdom,
The transition,
From a child to a man.

At every phase,
Every step,
The mother is to be praised

With perseverance,
And patience,
She makes him somehow,
What he is now.

She expects nothing,
Just Plain love,
And that’s the acknowledgement to her!!

HAPPY  MOTHER’S DAY!

A PHOTOGRAPH!

A PHOTOGRAPH!

Thoughts. Thoughts just come to him of last night lovemaking, of last week’s late night candlelight dinner, of that pleasing hug, of that rainy day spent together sipping hot coffee. He just lovingly puts his hand over her face in a gentle manner. He looks at her eyes and her smiling innocent face.

But, the call of duty makes him take a resignation from her. His friends are calling him from behind to be vigilant as their is a possibility that the enemies may attack or may try to subjugate their troops by throwing dynamite like the last time or they may prove to be riskier this time. He needs to save his nation, his mulk. Every citizen needs to be saved or the situation can turn into a massive war. He needs to stand with his team with all the courage.

A tear trickles down his eye, he slides his hand on her photograph not knowing if he’ll be meeting her again. The beautiful memories are kept again in the bag. He is on duty.
